These terms govern the use of ProfCalendar: the Android app, the web app at app.profcalendar.app, and the connection of AI assistants (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to your ProfCalendar account. By creating an account you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data; it is not part of these terms but applies alongside them.
2. The service
ProfCalendar is a shared calendar: you keep your own events and share calendars with the people you choose. The free version may show advertising; a paid subscription removes it and unlocks additional features such as access by AI assistants. We may change, add or remove features; if a change materially reduces what a paid subscription offers, you may cancel it and we refund the unused part.
3. Your account
- You need to be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your password to yourself; everything done with your account counts as done by you until you tell us it was compromised.
- One account per person. You may delete it at any time in the app, in the web app or via this page.
4. Shared calendars
When you share a calendar, its members see the events and comments in it, as described in the privacy policy. The owner of a calendar decides who is a member, what role they have, and whether AI assistants connected by members may read the calendar. Content you add to someone else's calendar stays there if you leave or delete your account, without your name.
5. Connected AI assistants
You can connect an AI assistant to your account. The assistant then acts on your behalf: it can read the calendars whose owners have opened them to assistants, and it can add events, which are marked as added by an assistant. You are responsible for what you ask your assistant to do; the assistant's provider is responsible for its service under its own terms. You can disconnect an assistant at any time in the web app under Settings → Connected AI assistants.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use ProfCalendar to store or share content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, or that harasses other members; do not try to access other people's data, to circumvent access controls or quotas, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend or close an account that does.
7. Your content
Your calendars, events and comments are yours. You grant us only the right to store, process and transmit them as needed to run the service — to the members you share with, to your devices, and to the assistants you connect. You can export your calendars at any time as standard .ics files.
8. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold through Google Play or, in the web app, through the payment provider shown at checkout, under their terms for billing, renewal and cancellation. Prices include VAT where applicable. Your statutory right of withdrawal is explained at checkout.
9. Availability and liability
We run ProfCalendar with care but cannot promise it is always available or error-free; a calendar must not be your only record of something important. We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory law such as product liability. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual duties and only up to the damage typically foreseeable for a service of this kind. The free version is provided as a courtesy; liability for it is limited to intent and gross negligence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason, such as a change in the law or in the service. We announce changes in the app at least four weeks before they take effect; if you do not object within that time and keep using the service, the new terms apply. If you object, we may end the contract at the end of that period.
11. Ending the contract
You can end it any time by deleting your account. We can end it with four weeks' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.
12. Law and disputes
German law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
