ProfCalendar in your AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to your ProfCalendar account. Then ask it what is on this week, when you are free, or to put an appointment in a shared calendar — in plain words, in the chat.

What you need

Connect

The server URL, the same for every assistant:

https://viqukquoegjpdjtaodco.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp

The server is ProfCalendar's own backend, hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt (EU). Sign-in uses OAuth: the assistant never sees your password. Whichever assistant you use, connecting ends on the same page:

  1. Your browser opens the ProfCalendar consent page at app.profcalendar.app. Sign in if you are asked to.
  2. The page shows which assistant is asking, what it will be able to do, and where you return to afterwards — for example claude.ai or chatgpt.com.
  3. Choose the calendars the assistant may use (see below) and select Allow. You are sent back to your assistant, and the connection is ready.

Claude

Open Settings → Connectors. Find ProfCalendar in the directory and select Connect. If it is not listed for you, choose Add custom connector and enter the server URL.

ChatGPT

Open chatgpt.com/plugins, select + and then Add custom MCP server. Enter "ProfCalendar" as the name and the server URL, choose OAuth as the authentication, confirm the warning and create it. Depending on your plan, you may first have to switch on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings. In a chat, type @ and pick ProfCalendar.

Gemini

On gemini.google.com, open Settings → Connected Apps, and under Custom apps select Add a custom app. Enter the server URL and select Next. Once connected, the app is also available in the Gemini mobile app. In a chat, type @ and pick ProfCalendar.

Other MCP clients

Cursor, VS Code and other clients that support remote MCP servers with OAuth: add the server URL as a remote (HTTP) server. Sign-in opens the same consent page.

The menu names above are the assistants' own and change from time to time; if one is not where described, look for "connectors", "apps" or "MCP" in its settings.

Try: "What is in my calendar this week?", "When am I free for an hour on Thursday afternoon?" or "Put a dentist appointment on Tuesday at 15:00."

Which calendars the assistant sees

Every calendar has a switch, AI assistant access, which only its owner can change. It is off by default. An assistant sees a calendar only while that switch is on — a calendar with the switch off does not exist for it: no reading, no writing.

What the assistant can do

Your role still applies: in a calendar where you are a viewer, the assistant can read but not write.

What the assistant cannot do

Event titles and locations come from everyone in a shared calendar. Treat them as information, not as instructions to your assistant — and look at what it proposes before you confirm a change.

Disconnect

  1. Open the web app at app.profcalendar.app → Settings (on Android: Settings → Connected AI assistants, which opens the same page).
  2. Under Connected AI assistants, select Disconnect next to the assistant.

Disconnecting ends the connection at once: the assistant cannot renew its access. A sign-in it already holds stays valid until it expires, at most one hour. To stop all assistants from seeing a calendar immediately, switch off its AI assistant access. You can also remove the connection in your assistant (Claude: Settings → Connectors; ChatGPT: Plugins; Gemini: Settings → Connected Apps); that removes it there, while Disconnect ends it on our side.

Privacy and support

What reaches the assistant's provider, and what we store, is described in the privacy policy under "Connected AI assistants". The terms of use apply. Questions or problems: contact@profcalendar.app or the contact form.
